Meet The Therapist
Carmen H. Ovando, MSW, LCSW
Carmen H. Ovando, LCSW - I am a Licensed Psychotherapist who specializes in the treatment of trauma and depression-related disorders. Prior to founding Raices Mental Health Services, I worked in mental health agencies, community mental health clinics, and school-based programs.
I founded Raices with the desire to create a space that honors the beauty of diversity and promotes multiculturalism. As a proud Latina immigrant, I am passionate about immigration and cultural-related issues. I use a trauma-informed approach to meet you where you are at and together we can explore the cultural, spiritual, and environmental factors that are impacting you as we re-write your story to help you in this path of healing.

Initial Evaluation (60 minutes) - $140
Individual/Couples Session (60 minutes) - $120
Individual Session (45 minutes) - $100
Immigration Evaluations- $1200
Sliding Scale

Raices is able to accept the following insurance plans:

Anthem/Blue-Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
United Healthcare - Optum, Golden Rule
Indiana Medicaid
Aetna
All Other Insurance: Raices is considered an out-of-network provider. This means that we can provide a superbill following services to assist with obtaining out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company. We encourage you to call your insurance company prior to booking to ask about your policy's out-of-network reimbursement benefits.
Missed Appointment and Cancellation Policy:
If the appointment is canceled with less than 24-hour notice, you will be charged the full fee to the card on file.
